To be eligible for funding, film projects must:

  • be directed by a filmmaker of Arab nationality or origin (Algeria, Bahrain, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen).
  • be centered on the Arab world, Arab history, and/or Arab culture.
  • be nearing completion, with applicants available to provide a minimum of 30 minutes (for fiction feature films) or 25 minutes (for feature-length documentaries) of edited material.
